Literature (due Monday)

  • *OPTIONAL-- Even though Monday is technically Thanksgiving break, we can zoom and work on the literature assignment together on Monday at 1:00!

    • Turn in the draft of your essay by uploading it to its "assignment" in Google Classroom.
    • Click on "introlesson.pdf" on the Language Arts Google Classroom.  You do NOT have to answer the questions for pages 1-3, but if you'd like to add the map and the chapter sheet to your literature notebook, you can!
    • Read up to page 57 in Esperanza Rising.  Choose FIVE of the questions to answer for each chapter.  Be sure to answer thoroughly!
    • I've added a vocabulary list for the entire book on Google Classroom!  Don't worry about words that you already know, and don't worry about trying to squeeze your definitions onto that tiny box on the chart!  You can add words that you don't know to your literature notebook OR you can start your own Quizlet for them.  Either way is great!
    OPTIONAL SLIDESHOW--
    • Our book is set in 1924.  Create a short slideshow explaining what life was life in Mexico and/or US during this time.  What happened in 1929/1930 that changed the way people lived?  Explain.

Carris & Clark - Grow Verse

Ivey & Olive - Music
